New energy plan in Denmark

January 27, 2007

It sees, that Al Gore did make an impression onto the Danish government. After 5-6 years of complete ignorance, the Danish government did publish a new energy plan. The main focus are:

* 30% renewable energy in 2025.
* 15% reduction of consumption of fossil fuel.
* A stabilisation of energy demand at the current level.
* 10% of energy consumption in the transport sector must come from renewable energy sources by 2020.
* A doubling of investments into energy research to one billion Danish crones annually.

Even though, focus in not on Solar Energy, I assume that we will get a new opportunity for working on large-scale solar heating and seasonal thermal storage technologies. So I hope to have many more news in the future for a brighter, sustainable world.

Wikipedia and CSHP

January 15, 2007

To increase knowledge of large scale solar heating, I chose to place the facts into Wikipedia. Hereby, the probability of people picking up the technology, is improved a lot. You find the article by searching CSHP in the English version of Wikipedia.

I hope that the community will join me.

Ecostock proceedings online

January 15, 2007

Dear all

The Ecostock proceedings is now available online. You find it at http://intraweb.stockton.edu/eyos/page.cfm?siteID=82&pageID=29

From these papers, I assume, you are able to find the status for the thermal storage technologies. I will probably try to find time to study the papers and review the status in a paper myself.

Good reading.
